If you thought that iTunes song preview was the only preview feature you will be getting your hands on, then think again. Apple has brought what you have been wishing for. Yes, that’s right. Starting from now, the web based version of iTunes will give you a preview of the iPhone app that you intend to purchase – a user-experience feature if you like.

The reason why I like this feature is that it will directly give you the app information you were looking for instead of having to bear with the annoying dialog box prompting you to launch the desktop version of iTunes first and then view the details page.

This is how the new feature works: Just open any link to the iPhone app located on the App Store, you will get to see a nicely crafted  web page displaying the app logo, price, description, screenshots, customer reviews, compatibility requirement and more. The desktop version of iTunes is also instantiated in parallel.

So do you like the apps preview feature for your iPhone/iPod Touch apps? Do share with us your take on this nice little addition from the Cupertinos.
