No Donuts is Windows Phone 7 Copy Paste update, will be unveiled this Thursday (Updated)
Paul Thurrott, the Microsoft watcher has provided some exciting information about the first Windows Phone 7 update, which many of us refer to as the Copy/Paste update. According to the Thurrot, the first ever update for the glance and go experience offering mobile OS is called No Donuts (codenamed NoDo) and will be announce by Steve Ballmer tomorrow when Microsoft CEO kicks off the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2011 proceedings in Las Vegas.

The first Windows Phone 7 update may very well hit the RTM stage during the current week and will be discussed by Ballmer in his CES keynote as rumored earlier. Here is what No Donuts will bring to your Windows Phone handset:
The famed copy and paste functional addition, support for the Qualcomm 7×30 smart phone chipset, a CDMA location stack, and a number of software fixes.
It won’t hurt Microsoft to introduce some other missing features such as tethering, bluetooth file transfers and more listed here in the update which the consumers will get on their handsets in February.
What’s with this funny name No Donuts? Is it making fun of Android? You bet it is:
“NoDo” stands for “No Donuts” and could be so named because the a minor Android update was called “Donut.”
Update 1: NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 update has been delayed and will now go live on 8th March. Details here.
