Microsoft is expected to roll out  the Copy/Paste update for Windows Phone 7 in early part of 2011. This statement can be made a bit more precise thanks to a rumor shared by WinRumors. According to the source, Microsoft will be talking about the said update at the the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is scheduled to kick off in January.

Since the Redmondians are planning to unveil the update in front of a capacity crowd, I wonder if copy/paste is the only thing that will be included in the first Windows Phone 7 update. It won’t hurt Microsoft to introduce some other missing features such as tethering, bluetooth file transfers and more listed here in the January scheduled update.

Speaking of the first Windows Phone 7 update, Microsoft has begun rolling out the update to Windows Phone 7 developers devices as informed previously.
