YouTube Mobile app for Windows Mobile and S60 updated, brings a new homescreen
Quick Share:
It has been exactly one year since the YouTube mobile app was launched for the Windows Mobile and S60 platform. Since its launch, it has been installed on million of devices as stated on the official blog. The video portal app for mobile has been updated to v2.4 and brings with it a useful set of features discussed after the jump.
The 2.4 version brings the following new features:
-
My Account support: Using this option you can always access your favorited videos, subscription and playlists whether you are viewing YouTube from your home or from your mobile phone. A handy little feature, won’t you agree?
-
Search Query suggestions: The name says it all. You no longer need to write the full search query, Google will do it (suggest) for you and will likely increase the video viewing experience.
-
New Homescreen User Interface: This feature is targeted and optimized for mobile phones with larger screens such as Nokia 5800, HTC HD2 and others.
To download the updated app, open m.youtube.com/app from your mobile browser. So will you be downloading the app? Do share with us your experience once you give it a try.
