When iOS 4.2 Beta 2 was rolled out, it brought with it the good news of iPad users getting the useful internet tethering support. This may no longer be the case based on 9 to 5 Mac’s findings. According to the blog, the recently rolled out iOS 4.2 Beta 3 has removed the Internet Tethering section from the APN settings page.  Now that’s not the the kind of news you will want to hear particularly if you own an iPad.

Untethered jailbreaks are always better than tethered jailbreaks I always say. The iPhone Dev Team believes in the very same thing and has infact found a way that will enable them to provide untethered hacks for future iOS firmwares.
